Mayor’s Youth Commission

The MYC gives young people a meaningful voice in developing solutions to youth issues and problems. Commissioners meet with the Mayor to provide input, leadership, and ideas on effective solutions to the most pressing issues and problems facing youth.

YVC Charleston is one of many affiliates across North America. Our mission is to promote a lifetime commitment to service among the youth of Charleston by offering volunteer projects throughout the school year and during the summer with the Summer Service-Learning Institute.
